VERRE Églomisé

The French term verre églomisé refers to applying a design to the back of a sheet of glass, which is normally then gilded to produce a mirrored finish. Although the technique pre-dates Roman times, it was popularised in the 18th century by French decorator and art dealer Jean-Baptiste Glomy.

In his own églomisé work, Juan introduces unusual elements including acrylic gels, oils, mineral powders, mother of pearl and even real feathers!
